PUBLIC LIBRARY

BOZEMAN, MONTANA

Upon outgrowing their existing space, the Library organization aquired a building site on Main Street in Bozeman, that was flanked by a city park and existing commercial / industial businesses. The site needed remediation due to railroad activity and processes while in operation. The result of the design was a unique structure, that referenced the existing fabric of the city's past and looks tword the future. The park was enhanced by a developed trail and sculptural garden, which created a seamless connection of the park and library. The scale of the building has a strong presence on Main Streeet, but is not imposing within the fabric of the adjacent build environment. The library is a LEED certified Silver level building. (project designed and completed at a former employer)
