Very similar to the Mount project, the goal was to rehabilitate this 1930's house into a functional and efficient modern home, once again. When working on older structures, we always respect the existing language of the project while creating new space. Properly done, the finished product should have a balance between existing and new that is indistinguishable.

The purchased program of this home was a 1 bedroom with 1 bathroom. We finished the project with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms by reformatting the ground level and using the basement space that had been under utilized for many years. Windows, electrical, plumbing, and doors needed replacing as well as locating a new stair to the basement and cutting in code compliant egress window openings. We were fortunate to have some beautiful original elements that were saved and reinstalled within the home.
